    Don Carlos Bell III joined magicJack VocalTec in March 2017 as President & Chief Executive Officer and was appointed to the Board on April 19, 2017. Mr. Bell is an accomplished technology and telecom operating executive, a public shareholder advocate through his leadership on public boards of directors, and a private investor in wireless technology companies, including those on which he serves as an independent director.
    Mr. Bell is a Director of Wireless Telecom Group (NYSE: WTT).  He was a Director of TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: TSYS) through its 2016 sale to strategic buyer Comtech Telecommunications (NASDAQ: CMTL) for $431 million, and Chairman of the Special Committee that led the sale. He was a Director of NTS Communications (NYSE: NTS) through its 2014 go-private sale to a financial sponsor for $165 million, and a member of the Special Committee that led the sale. From 2007 until 2011, Mr. Bell was the Owner and President of Tidal Research, an Internet direct marketing agency whose principal business was generating leads and direct web sales on a fee-for-performance basis for national consumer brands.
    During the ten years prior to launching Tidal Research, Mr. Bell was a senior executive with two portfolio companies of Goldman Sachs Capital Partners (IPC Systems and Clearwire), and a member of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs Group.
    At IPC Systems, a VoIP telecom products and network services company serving clients in 40 countries, Mr. Bell served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development.  Mr. Bell led the development of the company's IQMAX VoIP trading floor communications platform, which has been deployed on trading floors in every major financial center by the world’s leading financial institutions.  Mr. Bell simultaneously identified an opportunity to increase the company's addressable market by expanding into a contiguous segment, Command & Control, and built the division by leveraging existing VoIP technologies and service assets, combined with three acquisitions.   In 2006 Mr. Bell led the private sale of the company to SilverLake Partners for $805 million. At Clearwire, a wireless broadband services provider, Mr. Bell served as Vice President of Business Development prior to the 2003 sale of the company by Goldman Sachs Capital Partners to Craig McCaw. Mr. Bell began his career as an Assistant Account Executive in consumer advertising for Foote, Cone & Belding, and as Director of International Marketing for Time Warner Electronic Publishing.
    Mr. Bell studied Classics at St John's College earning a BLA in 1991 and earned his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, graduating in 1998. 

    Alan Howe

      Mr. Howe was appointed to the Board on April 19, 2017. Mr. Howe is co-founder and Managing Partner of Broadband Initiatives, LLC, a boutique corporate advisory and consulting firm.  His specialty is in providing board and C-level leadership working with small-cap and micro-cap companies (both public and private) particularly in turnaround situations.  Mr. Howe has served as a director and as board chairman for multiple companies in a variety of industries including telecom and wireless equipment, software, and IT services.   In addition, Mr. Howe has also held executive positions at Covad Communications, Teletrac, Inc.,  Sprint, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company (now JP Morgan).  He currently serves as Chairman of Data IO (Nasdaq:  DAIO) and is Vice Chairman of Determine (Nasdaq:  DTRM) and a board member of Urban Communications (TSX. V:  UBN).  Mr. Howe has a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the Kelley Graduate School of Business at Indiana University and a Bachelors of Science – Business Administration and Marketing from University of Illinois.

      Izhak Gross

        Izhak Gross was appointed to the Board effective August 9, 2016.  Mr. Gross co-founded four global companies in fields ranging from network messaging, web conferencing, VoIP systems and recyclable printed boards. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Gross served as the co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kroom Ltd., a company headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel that designed and manufactured a wide range of products made out of laminated printed board.  From 1996 to 2005, he served as the co-founder and Chairman of ArelNet Ltd., a company headquartered in Yavne, Israel that was publicly traded on the Israel Stock Exchange (TASE).  ArelNet Ltd. was a pioneer of VoIP communications producing switching and delivery systems.  From 1988 to 2005, Mr. Gross also served as co-founder and Chairman of Arel Communications and Software Ltd., a technology leader in interactive web communications headquartered in Yavne, Israel that was publicly traded on Nasdaq.  From 1982 to 1988, he served as cofounder and Managing Director of Arel Computers and Software Ltd., a company headquartered in Yavne, Israel that marketed the ARCOM Value Added Network messaging transaction system, including fax, email, telex and telegraph systems deployed in more than 50 countries.  From 1976 to 1979, Mr. Gross served as a Senior System Programmer for Granot Central Cooperating Ltd. in Emek Hefer, Israel, and from 1973 to 1986, he taught mathematics and physics at Kibutz Gan Shmuel High School in Gan Schmuel, Israel.  Mr. Gross received a BSC in Theoretical Physics from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel in 1973. Mr. Gross contributes to the mix of experience and qualifications the Board seeks to maintain primarily through his over 30 years of   experience co-founding and managing global high-tech companies with a special focus on communications software and hardware.

        Kristin Beischel

          Kristin Beischel joined magicJack VocalTec in March 2017 as EVP & Chief Marketing Officer. Ms. Beischel brings over 10 years of experience building large-scale customer acquisition programs for public and private organizations looking to drive an immediate increase in sales. From 2007 to 2015, Ms. Beischel was employee #2 at IMM, a full-service digital agency, where she helped build the business over 8 years to a 9-figure revenue organization. She held multiple senior management and operating roles at IMM, most recently as VP & Group Partnership Director, where she consulted with CMO-level clients, managed client services teams, led business development, and built out the agency’s media capabilities and services. Her clients included AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile among others. From 2015 to 2017, Ms. Beischel served as Senior Advisor to Boulder Heavy Industries, a private investment and adtech incubator firm, where she led business due diligence and advised portfolio companies on sales, marketing and operations while also founding Bake Like A Champ, a digital learning platform. Ms. Beischel holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
